Description

trying my step father's 6" newt that he made (both mirror and tube assembly) Surprisingly good considering the coating are completely ruined and 40 years old, the tube has a hole in it right by the focuser and no flats were used (BADLY NEEDED). No coma corrector or guiding. Just one cable coming off the scope to the PC.
I was limited to 30 second exposures so the fainter arms did not really come out too well but did not want to waste a new moon clear night. I binned the camera at 2x2 to be more forgiving on tracking. I know it is not true binning but made things easier.
I was dithering with APT but still got some walking noise though not too bad.
Camera is uncooled.

Scope used is the one for my avatar
