Description

A pretty interesting looking dark nebula against a sea of Hydrogen alpha emission, located in Scorpius. I have seen some beautiful examples recently on Astrobin, which inspired me to try my own version. Photographed over 3 nights, 5-7 June. The RGB data is unfortunately from a Bottle 7-8 transition zone (front garden of my home, Cape Town suburb) but the HA is so dominant in this area, I ended up using the RGB mostly for star colour. After struggling with my current flat frames I retook them for the RGB data which made a really big difference. Processing the data after that was a real pleasure.
