Description

This is the second of the three NGC 281 images. Each type of image has its own appeal to astrophotographers. The H-alpha probably shows the most detail if only because of the way our eyes work. The RGB image is the most "realistic", if our eyes were actually sensitive enough to see the nebula color. And the Hubble Palette shows us the distribution of three elements that make up a large portion of emission nebula and is the classic "mapped" image.
