Description

2021 wasn't off to a good start. I bought myself this nice'n'heavy refractor and sky didn't open up since. There were two clear nights with really catastrophic seeing, where I wasn't even able to get the scope focused. But yesterday, finally, a large enough gap in the clouds and the seeing forecast wasn't bad either. So, yay, let's give this a shot. So I went for the Tadpoles, as I really like this object and could frame it nicely with the new setup. And after some initial first-light-trouble I managed to get everything in order. My guiding wasn't perfect that night, but I managed to get 11 5 minute H-Alpha subs with acceptable quality before the sky closed down again.

And yay, here's the result. First light, for the scope I lovingly call "The Crushinator".
