Description

This Abell PN is located in the constellation of Aquila at a declination of +18 degrees.  It is a magnitude 14 PN which spans 1 arc-minute in our apparent view.  No distance information is available for this object, but if it is a typical PN diameter of 2 light years, it is about 6000 light years away.

OIII dominates the signal in this nebula.  The blue central progenitor star is clearly visible.
This nebula has an odd asymmetric structure.  A brighter rim section exists at the top left, looking like a torus cross-section, but the opposite side is uncharacteristically dim for some reason.  The likely bi-polar axis extends from lower left to upper right.
