Description

Jones-Emberson 1 is a large planetary nebula (6x6.5 arcmins) with low surface brightness.   It is ~1600 light-years distant in the constellation of Lynx.  The central star is magnitude 16.8, and is very blue.

The RASA11 isn't exactly the best telescope for planetary nebula work, but this crop works well enough to see some of the detail.   The field is littered with galaxies (one of which is in the nebula itself).   I've left the field expanded a bit to give homage to the colored stars on the left, and the nice spiral at the right.

Description: Some deconvolution of the hydrogen structures and some star bloat control. Also added a touch of decon on the nice spiral to the far right in the frame.
