Description

This is my first serious result with my GSO RC12 Truss. It took me 4.5 months to fine-tune the telescope to the level where I could take an astrophotograph. I decided to target M81 because the telescope is placed in my backyard, and I have a 100% open view towards the north, making M81 an ideal target for this season. It took me about three weeks to gather over 40 hours of exposure, which was a mix of full and new moon phases. I am still learning how to get the best results with the telescope, and I am not very happy with the sharpness at this moment. However, this is my best effort so far, and I hope there is a lot of room for improvement.
