Description

The Iris Nebula, NGC 7023 or Caldwell 4 is a bright reflection nebula about 1.3 million light years away in the constellation of Cepheus. It measures about 6 light years across. The dominant blue colour is from the interstellar dust being lit up by the young, large central star.

25/26 March 2020 – Bortle 5 back garden - C925 scope, 0.7x reducer, Moonlite focuser, EFW filter wheel, ASI 1600MM Pro mono camera. All subs guided with camera at 139 gain, -20 degC
