Description

SH2-235 is the brightest nebula that we see in the center of the image, its physical position is within the Perseus Arm and it shows both signs of star formation that occurred in the past and objects associated with phenomena that are still in progress; the Sh2-235 region is the most active in the complex and contains several stellar objects in the early stages of their life, in addition to a large number of radio and infrared sources. The mean distance has been estimated at about 5,870 light-years.
