Description

This small object, inside the thin white circle, is known as WRAY 16-20 or PK 260-03 1 in the Puppis constellation. It is a quarter from the left hand side and halfway between top and bottom of the image.
However it was listed as PN, there are newer studies that indicates that it correspond to another object, a SNR. So, it was previously misclassified. Still there are some doubts (I believe) if you search for it you may get also that impression, but the place where I got the information is in this link and references therein: http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=wray+16-20&NbIdent=1&Radius=2&Radius.unit=arcmin&submit=submit+id

Anyway, it is a nice small object which is in the outskirt of the large (huge) Vela SNR, so it is not very popular, however the region is plenty of small gas regions. Of course my scope is not adequate enough to get all the details, but it is possible to see some elements of its shape (or lack of it).
On the right hand side there are the objects vdbH 15a to 15d. The region is also rich in filaments from SNR, like GUM13 (RCW 29) plus RCW 28 to 31. Also the ones from the supernova Pup A, quite close to WRAY 16-20 (http://simbad.u-strasbg.fr/simbad/sim-id?Ident=SNR+260.4-03.4)

The dark areas are the Dobashi 5277 and 5286, plus 3 Dcld's and 2 TGU's, which are a kind of subsets of the major ones.
