EOS 6D - Samyang AE 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC @F/2.8 - 2000ISO - 1 x 15s

Sur la gauche le triangle de l'été (Altair, Vega, Deneb) et la constellation du Dauphin juste en dessous. Les premières lueurs solaires commencent à éclaircir la photo (passer en mode Affichage "Négatif en Noir et Blanc" pour voir la zone lumineuse en question). La lune n'est pas encore levée.

En haut au milieu, la Couronne Boréale.

En bas vers la droite le Scorpion avec Antares et M4.

Sur l'horizon, les traces de l'activité humaine et son chapelet de lumières parasites.

Traitement d'une photo unique prise le 15 mai 2020 à 4h16. Pas de dépollution lumineuse car détruisait les détails et les couleurs.

On the left the triangle "Altair, Vega, Deneb" and just below you can see the constellation Delphinus. The first rays of sunlight begin to brighten the photo (switch Display to "Negative in Black and White" mode to see this light zone). The Moon has not yet risen.

Top in the middle, Corona Borealis.

Bottom to the right Scorpius with Antares and M4.

On the horizon, traces of human activity and its string of stray lights.

Single photo processing - shot at 4:16am on 15th of April 2020. No treatment against light pollution because it destroys details and colors.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
