Description

HoCr 1 is a tiny (73 arc sec) much-neglected planetary nebula lurking in the nether regions of the much larger Jellyfish Nebula IC 443. It is very bright and was therefore captured during a full moon.

Also known as Howell-Crisp 1, it was discovered in November 2006 by amateur astronomers Michael Howell and Richard Crisp. Here is the original discovery document: http://www.horizontalheavens.com/planetarynebulaproject.htm
