Description

Hind's nebula is the small yellow spot in the photo above the central star of the dark cloud. It is a Herbig-Halo object: a small emission nebula that has a young star as its source. They are objects that only live a few thousand years. A large cloud of dust surrounds it, which is the most striking feature of the photograph.

The photograph was taken on eight different nights between January 7 and February 1, 2022, with Filters L, R, G and B.
