Description

I almost didn't post this image because of all the problems I had with both the capturing and processing of the data. But I'm on the quest to complete the M110 contest (in TSS) and M100 has been on my list for awhile. The weather wasn't cooperating (status quo for Maryland these past weeks) clouds interrupted the sequence multiple times during the night. Then I had issues with my Lum flats - the processing left behind a number of dust donuts that should have been eliminated. Then, no matter what I would do with the deconvolution processing the end result was all whacked-out. So, this object deserves much better and I plan to redo this one in the future. The total integration time is way too low. But, whatever, here is the result.
