Description

This is the first object in the Abell Planetary Nebulae Catalog.  It is a faint magnitude 18.7 planetary nebula located 8200 light years away in the constellation of Cepheus at a declination of +69 degrees.  It spans 50 arc-seconds in our apparent view, which corresponds to a diameter of 2 light years.

The HII signal is much stronger than the OIII signal for this PN.  The outer edge of the PN resembles a hexagon.  I do not see a progenitor star.
