Bortle Scale 9_SQM 16.23 mag/arc.seg²

Sombrero Observatory - Póvoa de Varzim – Porto - PORTUGAL

The Hercules cluster Abell 2151, is a cluster of about 200 galaxies (I counted 172 galaxies in my photo) about 500 million light years away in the Hercules constellation. It is rich in forming spiral galaxies, but has relatively few elliptical galaxies and shows many interacting galaxies. The cluster is part of the Hercules supercluster. The brightest member of the cluster, is the giant elliptical galaxy NGC 6041. View in full screen.

Image acquisition 12 to 19/06/2018 and 17/05/2020, total 16.6 hours.

Technical note: LRGB (183 +42+36+39) x 200 seconds.
