Description

This image is an integration of my first ever deep sky images along with some additional subs taken a few days later right back in February 2019 when Id first bought my scope.

I honestly thought the raw stack of this image was lost forever deep within the ether of my hard drive, until last night.

I was trawling through some of my first ever images and old data and found it buried within a PIPP file in amongst my flat frames for this very target. Thankfully my filing system is a little more organised these days.

Although I had processed this data previously, I gave it a fresh process last night and couldn't believe how well it came up for what is 1 hour and 5 minutes of integrated exposure time and noting I didn't have a blooming clue what I was doing at the time.

Taken with my ZWO ASI 385MC one shot colour dedicated camera and no guiding.

Absolutely stoked to have found it again, and very happy with how it turned out after a quick brush up in Photoshop.

Definitely on my hit list next time its around as didn't manage to get any Orion images this winter.

Keep safe people

Regards

Stuart
