Description

Good to very good seeing has been predicted so I changed my gear from Deep Sky to planetary/moon imaging and took my chance.:-)

Especially as shown in the crater Gassendi I was indeed able to resolve very fine details with my 10inches.

To underline it - here a comparison of the very same gear - imaged Dec 2020 and now March 2021 showing the huge difference in details achieved:

Description: The "Photographic Moon Atlas" shows on page 28 the crater Gassendi and the marked little crater below listed with just 1.3km in diameter. Therefore the achieved resolution of the scope should have been a whopping 0.7 arc-seconds!

Description: German astromagazine shows in there new issue on p48 an image of Gassendi (what a coincidence!) taken by NASA - so I used my work to frame it like its shown there.
