Description

This object is a galaxy cluster located 260 million light-years away in the constellation of Andromeda at a declination of +42 degrees. The cluster contains about 30 galaxies and is about 1 degree wide to our apparent view.

Two of the most interesting objects in this frame are not part of the cluster. NGC 891 is the beautiful edge-on spiral galaxy to the upper right, 8x closer to us. Even more interesting, and most easily seen in the full resolution view, is Arp 145 at the lower right.
