A couple of weeks ago I posted a rendition of the Rosette Nebula and asked colleagues in the AstroBin community to give me feedback on the color palette I had chosen. My friend, Gary Imm, commented that while he liked the image, he is prefers “bluer tones” in an SHO palette. I thought, “Yeah, I can do that.” Here is my effort.

Nearly every day he posts two images, often of unglamorous, infrequently imaged objects, and always professionally imaged with full documentation and an insightful narrative. Many of us that frequent AstroBin begin our day viewing the daily Imm posts. He never fails to deliver and, in many ways, is one of the main influencers for the collegial tone of the AstroBin community. For me, he personifies the joy of astrophotography. Thank you, Gary.
