Description

NGC 104 or more commonly known as 47 Tucanae is the second brightest globular cluster in the sky. It is located in the constellation Tuscana approximately 13,000 light-years away and 120 light-years in diameter. It is known for having a small but very bright and dense core and contains millions of stars. Although it appears adjacent to the SMC it is approximately 200,000 light-years away.
