Description

This widefield image shows a view as wide as 10 full moons covering parts of Gemini and Orion.

It shows a variety of colorful deep sky objects amidst countless stars. The Jellyfish Nebula and its fainter neighbor SH2-249 (top), the bright emission and reflection nebula-Monkey head (NGC2174) (left); and the beautiful star cluster M35 (right).

Zooming in you can see several other faint deep sky objects, which are annotated below.

This was captured over 2 evenings in February, totaling almost 9 hours of acquisition time.
