Description

For my second night out with my new gear, I decided to stay in Auriga and shoot the Tadpole Nebula (IC 410). Little did I know that both the SD card and the Flash Drive on the ASIAir Pro were to go bad. I tried over several nights to image, but with damaged storage devices only a few frames were stored. I gave up, bought a new SD card and Flash Drive, and started over. Third time on the target was the charm.

NB: If you have an ASIAir Pro and have NOT backed up your SD card, do it! It was the first thing I did when I got the AAP and who would have thought the card would fail on the second night out?

I believe that with such a short focal length as the RedCat, the glory of this target is hard to capture. The Tadpoles are at least visible, so that is a success. I also focused on the stars, and even those proved difficult. There was quite a bit of haloing from an as-of-yet unknown source. Still, the general star color in the field was preserved, so I won't complain (too much).

I hope you enjoy the image. Thanks for looking and for any comments you'd care to make.
