Description

This is a calibrated and "corrected" spectrogram for Vega. Correction for instrument response (IR) was made using an IR curve from another night so it may be a little off, but it's probably pretty close. The blue line is a reference spectrum for an A0v-type star, of which Vega is a shining example. (Get it? Shining? Heh. :-) While the overall shape of the reference curve and my spectrum are similar, the reference curve does drop off more quickly, with deeper troughs. This may be due to simple qualitative differences in instrumentation and processing, but there may be other factors (e.g. atmospheric quality, extinction, etc.) that I'm not able to account for at this point.
