Description

As on other occasions, often I draw inspiration from my images taken with the Wide Field lens Yashica ML 50mm to choose Deepsky objects (DS) to be photographed. Observing the image flic.kr/p/csaii5 I have been attracted to Messier23 open cluster (M23, NGC6494, is from us 2150l.y.) And its surroundings. The very few FOV found on the web have convinced me.

Although immersed in a dense star field not far from the center of the Milky Way in perspective, this cluster stands out for its bright stars and because it is located near a busy prospectively group of dark nebulae connected 1.5 ° degrees N with the unique dark nebula B84a.
