Description

This tiny planetary nebula in Orion is only 0.4 arc minutes in diameter, is perfectly round, and has a very large central progenitor star.  It is very rarely imaged, there being only two earlier versions on Astrobin.  It is exceptionally bright, the pure RGB image showing it quite well.  This image has a small amount of Ha and Oiii added.  They are close to the same strength.

This image shows a very large and prominent Carbon Star near the bottom of the image.  This Carbon star is designated LEE 27 and is a very strong red color.  The Red signal is 20 times stronger than the Green, and the Green is 10 times stronger than the Blue.
Quite striking it seems to me.  Most Carbon stars I think are much smaller than this one.

Other versions:
This Ha/Oiii version by Ian https://www.astrobin.com/fhxab8/ shows some nice internal structure.

This RGBHaOiii version by Peter Goodhew https://www.astrobin.com/wl98fn/F/ shows a very nice Oiii halo that extends out to 1.75 arc minutes.  This halo was only discovered in 2019 by the Galactic Planetary Nebula Halo Survey (GPNHS) team (a collaboration of some of the world's best astrophotographers led by Sakib Rasool.  Peter's 37 hours of exposure is obviously what it takes to get a good image of the halo.
