Description

This triptych of galaxies is located in the Ursa Major.

The Cigar Galaxy (left, also known as M 82) is a galaxy that is about 12 million light years and is an excellent example of a starburst galaxy, in fact M82 suffers the gravitational effects of its neighbor M 81.

Below is the small elliptical galaxy NGC 3077.
