Description

Messier 106 is a barred galaxy that is approximately 24 million light years distant in the constellation of Canes Venatici.

Messier 106 was photographed between 4 and 22 February 2020 from a rig in Spain that is privately owned and operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: TEC 140

Camera: QSI 690

Filters: Astrodon

Mount: 10 Micron GM2000HPS

Lum: 44 x 600s

Ha: 21 x 1200s

Red: 42 x 300s

Green 41 x 300s

Blue: 42 x 300s

A total of 24 hours and 45 minutes exposure.
