Description

NGC 2403 (also known as Caldwell 7) is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Camelopardalis. It is approximately 8 million light-years distant. The northern spiral arm connects it to the star forming region NGC 2404.

NGC 2404 is massive H II region. It is 83 times larger than Orion Nebula, and if it would be at same distance, it would cause visible shadows. The NGC 2404's open cluster probably looks like as a large stellar association.
