Description

I almost pulled an accidental Gary process, having close to 5 hours of integration time with double Lum for this target 😊. This image was again meant to be able to compare the 2x Powermate data with this 1x setup. I am still more than happy about the 2x data that I could obtain, and one of the reasons is certainly that the resolution of the 6200 is just so good, even at a 2x zoom it has still a good FoV, and the targets do not "disappear" in the image.
The M59 and M60 area is a wonderful example, I barely had to crop the raw stacked images since all channels were very well aligned. And yes, looking at the image with a big monitor is very nice, especially being able to zoom in quickly. The overview image here is just the opposite, I really have to get my magnifying glasses out to see something 😊.
And there are quite a few nice targets to see, and those targets are actually more interesting than the 2 "big ones". Sticking out are:
NGC 4647: the "close neighbor" of M60. Unfortunately I took those images before the new SN erupted, hence this is the "standard" view of it. Still a nice one! It forms with M60 the pair known as Arp 116.
NGC 4606 and 4607: 2 nice "little" galaxies with some details visible.
IC 3653: one has to look closer to see it is not a star. I actually looked at it without knowing that this is not a star and I was surprised how "bad my focus was" 😊.
