Description

M92 in Hercules is one of the most remarkable globular cluster of northern sky, even if it is often ignored in favour of M13, visible in the same constellation.

Its apparent dimension is 11,2’ and is magnitude is 6.3, so it can be found also with a small binocular under a dark sky.

M92 is located 26,000 light years from the solar system and has a real diameter of 85 light years.

Its estimated age is 13 billion years, so it is one of the oldest known globular clusters.
