Description

The Trifid Nebula is one of my favorite objects. I love nebulas that are mixed reflection and emission the blue and the red. Charles Messier discovered this object in 1764, it is number 20 in his catalogue. M20 is a star-forming nebula located 9,000 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Sagittarius.
