      Description

Vela (or SNR G263.9-03.3) is one of the closest known to us supernova remnant, located in the southern constellation Vela. Its source Type II supernova exploded approximately 11,000–12,300 years ago, and was about 800 light-years away.

I chose the SHO rendition instead of the more classical (but so beautiful) HOO versions in order to restitute the richness of the color shades of this wonderful target, and to bring a personal vision into it.
I used Telescope LIve datas cause of course it is not accesible from my Northern location.

Datas taken at HEAVEN'S MIRROR OBSERVATORY, AUSTRALIA from 2020/12/17  to 2022/06/15
