Description

NGC 2841 is located in the constellation Ursa Major and was discovered in 1788 by astronomer William Herschel (Wikipedia). NGC 2841 is considered a flocculent galaxy, a texture of wool or patchy nebulosity. Located at a distance of 46 million light-years, details in the galaxy are remarkable.

A first look at this galaxy using the SCT and RGB filters.
Data acquired at 60 sec per frame [unity gain/offset] for the 3 filters.

Green Filter average ADU: 3100 Stars: 96 HFR: 3.7 Focus Level: 20410
Red Filter average ADU: 1950 Stars: 108 HFR: 3.2 Focus Level: 20390

Data stacked and aligned in ASTAP software. Stack was optimized using HFD.
