Description

Imaged on nights of 9/15/2020, 9/16/2020, 9/17/2020.

Abell 6 is a Planetary Nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia. It is reasonably bright PNs at magnitude 15.0, although spread out over a fairly large area the surface brightness is not that bright. Oiii is about 3 times stronger than the Ha. It overlaps the areas with Ha so mostly just changes the color toward the blue/green. It is one of the larger PNs with a diameter of only 3 arcminutes.

The shape of Abell 6 is very circular.

Looking at a pure RBG image you can see a faint image of this PN. Its needs enhancement of the Oiii and Ha to be readily seen.

Abell 6 is most frequently imaged in the same image as the spectacular HFG1.

There is a very tiny central blue star.
