Description

New rendering with more integration time of the Wolf-Rayet 134 acquired between June 2022 and September 2022.

This mysterious deep sky object is a so-called variable Wolf-Rayet star located 6,000 light years away from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus. The star was first noticed in 1971 and as of 2018 only 154 had been identified in the Milky Way.

I opted for a more "natural" and yet colorful approach by first blending Ha & Oiii to obtain the HOO version. To make the details more visible, I used the Ha as the Lum by making sure that the "super-power-Ha" doesn't overshadows too much the Oiii channel. Overall, I think I managed it quite well from my perspective. RGB stars added to make it a bit more natural and pleasant to my eyes.

Starless image shows the details surrounding the region.
