Description

"(...)NGC 1023 is a barred lenticular galaxy, a member of the NGC 1023 group
of galaxies in the Local Supercluster. Distance measurements vary from 9.3
 to 19.7 million parsecs (30 to 64 million light-years).
(...)NGC 1023 has a satellite galaxy named NGC 1023A(...)"
(From Wikipedia)

"(...)nearly edge-on system(...)A second galaxy (NGC 1023A ndr) is faintly visible(...)
it appears smooth and amorphous with no sign of a yellow nuclear region.
From these we conclude that the system is most likely a low surface
brightness dwarf elliptical composed mostly of old metal-poor stars(...)"
(JAMES D. WRAY - THE COLOR ATLAS OF GALAXIES  (1988))

IC 239 is a spiral galaxy 42 million light-years away (For H0 = 69.6)
