Description

I was able to capture 2 objects (this, and M63) on two consecutive nights here in the Northwest.  It is rare these days to find a night clear enough to image.  I am still disappointed with the lack of clarity, but I believe it's from atmospheric distortion of heat coming from our house, and the houses around us.  We live in a neighborhood where I get a small slice of the sky from East to West and don't have anything visible from 45 degs altitude and lower (facing South) due to my own house.  Still, this is my best capture of M51 to date, and thrilled to get this much time on the object.  I'm still working on my PixInsight editing skills.  I wasn't able to use Decon for some reason (star mask creation was a struggle). Guiding/tracking was between 0.5 and 0.65".
