Description

This is my last image of Saturn for this summer, taken on the night of August 29, 2019. Seeing conditions were just ok and transparency wasn't great (which pretty much sums up the conditions for planetary imaging this season), so gain is a bit higher and frame rate a bit lower than I care for resulting in only 5000 frames and a somewhat noisy image. Nonetheless, fun to have one more session imaging Saturn this year, it still blow me away each time Saturn an its glorious rings swing into field of view. Unreal...

Imaged with a C8 Evo, ZWO ADC, Baader UV-IR Cut Moon & Skyglow filter, and ZWO ASI224MC. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/20. Image capture using Firecapture with gain set at 350 and an exposure of 25 ms. Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 50% of ~5000 frames captured over 240 seconds, Drizzled 1.5x). Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. Derotated and combined four images in WinJUPOS.
