Just to see if I could capture this event in my small scope. Actually, after just a couple of exposures, the automatic screen stacking of the Stellina showed not only the supernova but a hint of Messier 60 (the larger galaxy). NGC 4647, the smaller galaxy beside M 60, which actually hosts the supernova, became evident after something like 50 10-second exposures.

I am discovering the rather steep and challenging learning curve associated with processing hundreds of subs per image. Even blinking the subs is a daunting challenge for my concentration span.
