Description

Last Friday the condition were very good for a trip to the dark skies so a friend suggested that we go to Kimmeridge Bay in Dorset. This is first time I use my Tamron 15-30mm F2.8 lens at 15mm. The lens distorsions are not that great but I really wanted to get as much of the sky as possible in a single frame.
While I was shooting the foreground, one of the guys I was with was illuminating the beach in search of a fossil and I noticed how it looks like there was bioluminescent plankton in the sea, so I added it to the final image.
For this photo I used my modded Canon 6D with the Tamron lens I was talking about earlier and an iOptron Sky Guyder.
The sky is a stack of 11 x 60sec ISO1600 exposures at f2.8 and the forground is a stack of 3 x 120sec ISO1600 exposures also at f2.8.
