Description

I finally graduated to an APS-C sized camera! Last time I used the format, I was just starting out in astrophotography with a trusty Canon 60d. That was over 10 years ago. It's nice to get that FOV back again, and this time around, it's a cooled mono 16-bit dedicated camera. I've been raring to get first light, but the weather has been very uncooperative. I finally had clear, moonless skies last week, but the nice weather was spoiled by winds with gusts up to 30mph. Instead of giving up, I swapped my rig out to the smallest scope I had and made the best of it. The small OTA looked silly on top of the Mach2, but the kit worked well and nary a sub had to be tossed.
