Description

Ok, a bit of an explanation is needed here.

I shot Orion with my DSLR back on Nov 16, 2020. I did two runs ... one at ISO 1600 and another (this one) at ISO 400. As I am new to astrophotography and especially tracking this was shot at a very short 145mm (223mm effective) focal length.

If you're looking at this image and asking yourself how did he get this at that short a focal length? Well, when I was processing my subs in Pix Insight I decided to drizzle at 4x instead of the standard 2x, that's how.

I find it serendipitous that not only did I get the Running Man but I also got the Trapezium??!?

This is 97 30sec subs ... I hope to get more integration time in the future but I feel like this is a pretty good effort.

Location: Backyard (Bortle 7)
