Description

Final result of working on that one great 10.000 frame video of RAW16 data on Oct. 19:

8" f/6 Newton with cheap 5x Barlow (1200 mm --> 4200 mm), few minutes of very good seeing and very good focus (Mars significantly shifted right of center in image, probably collimation was not ideal, but accidentally met best spot this way).

After various attempts with PIPP preprocessing finally running AutoStakkert 3 directly on original video, using best 1400 frames with lapl4 and lapl5, and series of ap189 to ap310 (16 as minimum size, multilevel grid), summing up 16 stacking runs (3x Drizzle) in one final TIFF, then resized 1.6x, then Registax voodoo, finally rotating to have correct north/south axis, Wavelet smoothing, gamma set to 0.8 (all in FitsWork).
