Description

SH2-126 is a nebula with a large angular size but low surface brightness, located in the constellation Lizard. The shape of the nebula reminded me of the uppercase A. It is assumed that the nearby star 10 Lac in the center of the Lac OB1 association is responsible for the ionization of gas in SH2-126.

During image processing I discovered a specific arrow structure against the background of the nebula. Then I remembered that two years ago I was shooting dust nebulae against the background of SH2-126 in LRGB on ED80 and there was the same nebula shape (https://astrob.in/sfwyfh/0/). For fun, I superimposed the LBN437 image on the SH2-126 wide-angle image and got such an interesting image. This image demonstrates the difference in field of the ED80 B building with a wide-angle setup using a 135mm Jupiter 37A lens.
