Messier 67 (also known as M67 or NGC 2682) is an open cluster in the constellation of Cancer. It was discovered by Johann Gottfried Koehler in 1779. Age estimates for the cluster range between 3.2 and 5 billion years. Distance estimates are likewise varied and typically range between 800–900 pc.

M67 is not the oldest known open cluster, but Galactic clusters known to be older are few, and none of those is closer than M67. It is an important laboratory for studying stellar evolution, since the cluster is well populated, has negligible amounts of dust obscuration, and all its stars are at the same distance and age, except for approximately 30 anomalous blue stragglers. These blue stragglers are generally the results of mass transfer in binaries or stellar collisions.

Meant to be a colour image but seem Starlink decided to visit while G subs being taken. So have to see if need to redo or if can mitigate. So this Luminance only 4 x 300 seconds. I see image Rudi do which give me idea to give this a try.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
