Description

From Wikipedia: NGC 4244, also known as Caldwell 26, is an edge-on loose spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici, and is part of the M94 Group or Canes Venatici I Group, a galaxy group relatively close to the Local Group containing the Milky Way. In the sky, it is located near the yellow naked-eye star, Beta Canum Venaticorum, but also near the barred spiral galaxy NGC 4151 and irregular galaxy NGC 4214.

I'm not doing deepsky imaging a lot, but it was such a nice night and I wanted to test my QHY168C on my TOA-150b with Teleskop-Service 2.5" flattener. The image is crop of the center of the image because I think that the 2" Optolong L-Pro filter in the imaging train caused a circular reflection that could not be removed with the flatfield images I made.

The QHY168C would benefit from a faster optical system, it would need at least double the exposure time at f/7, but all in all I'm happy with this image.
