Description

The Cat’s paw nebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Scorpius at 5,500 light-years from Earth, in the Carina-Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way. It is one of the most active star-forming regions, producing stars 10 times as massive as the Sun in the past few million years. It spans about 90 light-years across.
