Description

The Blue Horsehead nebula is one of the most beautiful nebulae out there, being a complex full of reflection and dark nebulosity all in one. With dark skies, It's possible to reveal much of its details and colors with such low total exposure time. I was honestly very surprised to see how dark my skies really are. Now, with proper calibration, guiding, autofocusing, and improved processing techniques, 30 quick minutes per panel can be as great, or much better, than 10 hours with incorrect management- for reference, check my last image of this region: https://www.astrobin.com/ynb6wi/B/

This image is actually a crop from a bigger upcoming project I've been working on for a while. Unfortunately, my current notebook with only 4Gb ram won't be able to stack all of the data, so I had the idea to crop this region and post it separately until I can save enough to build a PC.

As with every 30 minutes shot, the noise levels were quite high. I did my best to reduce them while keeping the image as natural as possible. Next year, I'm going to shot it again, as I'm not 100% happy with the results.

Thanks for taking a look at this photo, hope you enjoy it! Criticism is always welcome in the comments section.
