Description

Good start of this astro-season

Object: M13 / NGC6205 (180 minutes exposing of iso200--6400). The telescope been rotated 45 degrees for 50 % of the expo to have a 8-spike stars..

this major starcluster with name Hercules is so grateful and beatyful. This picture show only littebit half of its size , the layer of hugh mass of surrounding stars blue/grey dimmed dots is barely visible.

It will be added more exposings of appr 1,5-2 hour to have it cleared and finished.

The distance from earth is approx 25000 light year, and the width of this globular starcluster is 160 light years.

There is 4 galaxies in the picture (some more wich is very dimmed), one of them up in right corner is NGC6207 who have a distance of 30 million light years.

Most impressive is the other galaxy IC4617 wich is smaller in picture, close at the upper right side of the cluster - this one is the biggest in mass. The distance is hugh 489million light years from us and still it is so visible in this picture. Additional the other 2 small galaxies is not known regarding the name yet.

Tech:

Orion 8inch telescope/ eos200Da cam, L-Pro filter + iR-filter
